I was waiting in line at my neighborhood coffee house one morning. As I pulled up to get my drink, the barista told me that my drink had been paid for by the car in front of me. What an amazing feeling that was that someone did that out of the kindness of their heart, not expecting anything in return. I wanted a way to say thank you, so the next time I was in line for my morning coffee, I paid for the drinks for the car behind me. Once again, it felt amazing to give back and do something for the sole purpose of being nice.

This got me thinking. I wanted to create a network of people that performed random acts of kindness. Through this desire to connect caring people, www.GivingRandomly.com was created. If you are on this site, you most likely received a GivingRandomly card. These cards are the result of someone’s kindness. There is no obligation, however we encourage you to keep these cards moving throughout your community by performing random acts of kindness. We can change people’s hearts and attitudes, one random act at a time.
